I could not have made a better choice of venue for my, very Italian Dad's eightieth birthday celebration! Your kind, friendly and entertaining way made us all feel very comfortable and welcome. As usual a warm welcome from Lala and Tessa. Always personal service from Lala - I'm not the only one - everybody is greeted alike! We chose some Italian specials - Tortollini with Riccotta and Mushroom in a stunning sauce - Italian Meat Balls with Spaghetti - hearty fare and wonderfull.

"La La and Tessa show us authentic Italian."La Trinita is a small italian eatery in a shopping centre in Kyalami , no passing trade to speak of , but getting a table without a booking cannot be done. La La takes each order personally and then goes and makes it , this is not fast food people , sit back and relax and soak up the atmosphere , it feels like you are sitting in their house !

"Hidden gem." Lala and Tessa make you feel as a member of the family or a lifelong friend as soon as you walk in the door. Hugs greet you as does the energy that Lala exudes for her food and her "familia". Make sure to try the bruschetta to start and any of her veal dishes are a must.

"Simply to die for food!" We visited La Trinita today for the first time and cannot believe we have not been here before. I had Kingklip with capers and my husband had the veal with olives. My kids had the bambino pizzas and said they were the best pizza they had ever eaten! The food was quite simply outstanding. The atmosphere perfect. Thank you La La and team for a meal cooked with love. This is a rare find. We will be back.

"Fresh Italian." The Personal touch of a family run restaurant makes a huge difference. Every time we go there is a big welcome, even when we take friends they get remembered, including La La remembering what everyone's favourite is. Our favourites are: spaghetti vongole run through with a touch of chilli, 24 hour marinated baby chicken, lasagna, calves liver, fillet in pepper sauce. All the pasta is made on the premises and anything can be made to suit your taste, all you have to do is ask. La la and Tessa are the best.

"Tralala to Lala and Tessa". It makes you want to sing. The best Italian food not only in Johannesburg but all of South Africa. You just can't wait to go back for more of that delicious food. Lala and Tessa are warm, friendly, attentive,and make you feel so welcome. Everything we ate was mouth wateringly tasty and fresh, from the salad to the pizza ,the pastas and the delicious pana cotta. No wonder it is on the list of the worlds 101 best restaurants to eat. We will be back again and again to try all the wonderful dishes.

"Brilliant quality, taste and experience".This is probably one of the best italian restaurants I have been in around the city. The owners make you feel very welcomed and they personalise the experience of their restaurant for you by introducing themselves and speaking to each and everyone of you to find out your preferences. For a vegetarian like myself there was a lot to choose from even though two of the items on the menu were not made that day. The service and preparation of the food was extremely good. I will most certainly be back to try the pasta dishes (ravioli with butter and sage and others...) I love and enjoy!

"My new favourite!" Haven't lived in Joburg long, but so far this is my favourite restaurant! Hosts are amazing and so personal and the homemade Italian food is AMAZING!! Love this restaurant, down to earth with good homey Italian food. Can't wait to go back!

Rates as one of the 1000 places in the world to eat at. No lies about that. Forget the beautiful food. A whole blog can be written on that. Truth is you cab get the same standard od food in other well-rated restaurants but the atmosphere made it for me. The hostess, Lala, made sure we felt at it. Her addictive bubbly personality left us all wanting more. Must visit
